Senior Math Class Policies
Attendance
Because so much of what is done in class is based on discussions, examples, and drills, regular attendance is very important in this class. In order to profit from class time, you should be in your seat and ready to begin work when the bell rings. You may not miss this class because you are doing work in another class or for another teacher without prior approval from me. In the event that you are taking a vacation, please secure the proper form from the main office to obtain your assignments ahead of time.
Please note:
Please note:
- The tardy policy is strictly adhered to. 5 Tardies will result in a detention. Each additional tardy will be disciplined according to the schools normal progressive discipline policy.
- Passes may be used during class. Students will be required to sign out to leave and must sign back in. Failure to sign back in, record the correct time and/or be gone from class at least 10 minutes will result in a tardy. Students are to use passing time appropriately - restroom needs, obtain items from locker, etc. Doing so during class results in a disruption to a student's learning.
- Students will not be allowed to leave the room for restroom, office, etc the last 10 minutes of class. The only exception is if a student receives a pass or is called down by the office.
Class Expectations: The 3 P's
Classroom behavior should reflect your desire to learn and your consideration and respect for others. You can do this by following three simple procedures:
1. Be Punctual
-Arrive to class on time!
2. Be Prepared
-Mentally (ready to learn and participate) and physically (class materials and HW)
3.Be Polite (& Respectful)
-Listen to your teacher and classmates when they are speaking in front of the class.
-Never put down someone for a question asked or an answer given.
-Treat the room like your own. Garbage belongs in a trash can, not on the floor; put all calculators away in the designated charging spot; take your stuff
with you when you leave.
-Listen (no talking, sleeping, doing make-up, etc!) while I am talking.
-Stay awake in class – sleeping results in disciplinary referral.

Homework, Assignments & Projects
You will be expected to complete daily class/homework assignments and to study on a daily basis the material covered in class. Questions involving problem solving must show sufficient work for full credit; this includes any relevant drawings. If you miss class for ANY reason, you are responsible to make up missed assignments, and you are responsible to turn in missed work to ensure proper credit.
All assigned digital work (i.e., Desmos, DeltaMath, etc) is due by the specified due date. No redos will be accepted after the new section(s) are assigned. Students are responsible for the assignment even if they are absent. The assignments can be found on Planbook and/or Schoology.

Once a quiz or test is announced, you are expected to take it the day it is given, even if you are absent the day before. If you are absent the day of the quiz or test, you will be expected to take it the day you return.
